Home Sweet Motorhome

It was all kind of a blur

As you guys can probably guess by Emily’s last post, things have been hard for us lately. In addition to what she wrote about, it was the one year anniversary of my mom’s death and mother’s day in the same weekend. Needless to say it’s been emotionally draining for us as of late. We stayed a few days longer than we had planned to at my dad’s house so that we could rest and recuperate a little. Because of that, our first trip across the country ended up being pretty hectic. We ended up driving 10-12 hour days the whole way. We didn’t have a lot of time to stop and explore but we did see plenty of beautiful scenery from the RV. The few stops that we did make gave us glimmers of what our future in the RV will be like. There were several peaceful lunches in gorgeous places, there were some quirky stops (I’m lookin’ at you, World’s Largest Truck Stop), and definitely some wrinkles to iron out. All in all, even though this particular trip was more difficult than we would have liked, I think that our future in this RV will be pretty great. On a side note, after we spent some time in the RV, we figured out that The Beast wasn’t the right name for our new friend. She may be big but she’s a classy lady and she deserves a classy name. After much thought we came up with the name Vanna. We think it suits her better! Below you can see some pictures from our cross country trip, as well as a few shots from a faux Bavarian town called Leavenworth that we spent a weekend in. 10295694_656920729818_443624111127850971_n1911977_657096896778_6091608726475594310_o10177375_656995919138_7834238378383649522_nphoto5photo 4  photo 3photo2 photo 1photo 2   photo 1 (4) copyphoto 2 (4)photo 5photo1photo(1) (2)photo3photo4photo 1 (1)photo 4 (1)photo 3 (1)photo 2 (1)photo 5 (1)photo 1 (2)photo 2 (2)photo 4 (2)photo 5 (2)photo(1) jen-cook-asaro21
